Sea Mills 100 is joining the Sea Mills and Coombe Dingle Community Showcase on 29 March.
Over the last few months a group of Sea Mills 100 volunteers have been starting to research the first residents of Sea Mills who were recorded on the 1921 census.
This is particularly exciting because when we did our last batch of research in 2019 the information from that census was not yet available and we had to rely on other, often less detailed sources.
In 1921 two streets had been built, the first part of Sylvan Way and the whole of Woodleaze. So far we have looked at 11 of the first households to move into Sea Mills. There are two chances to see the early results of our research during the community event on 29th March.

There are lots of activities throughout the day. Those specifically involving Sea Mills 100 are:
11am – 1pm – Sea Mills Library, meet the team and get tips about historical and family research and see the census display
11am – 1pm – Community Trail, get your trail map stamped at the Museum on the Square. (Museum open 10 – 5pm)
2pm – 4pm – Census display as part of the Community Showcase at Sea Mills Methodist Church.
