Sea Mills book published

We are delighted to announce that our Sea Mills 100 project book has now been published, it features memories from those who grew up in or visited the area in the 1930’s – 1950’s. The 80 page book is available from the Cafe on the Square for £5 or at our online shop, it’s a perfect gift for anyone who remembers Sea Mills during that time period or is interested in its history.

Thank you to everyone who has made this possible, particularly our writers and everyone who let us use their photographs.

Hallen Drive school remembered

The museum, aka the phone box on Sea Mills Square has a new display to remember the old Infants School at Hallen Drive. It includes pictures of the school taken just before its demolition this year and pictures of the demolition itself. There are also some old images of the school in the 1950’s

The phone box is currently closed, but all the display can be viewed from the outside.
